My professional background includes a doctorate from the University of Minnesota, 15+ years providing therapy, and 10+ years of providing clinical supervision to doctoral interns. As a therapist, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including colleges, community clinics, and a VA medical center. In addition to offering individual therapy, I've offered couples therapy, group therapy, trainings/workshops, and presentations. While at the University of Minnesota, I had opportunities to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, coordinate a community career counseling clinic, and conduct research projects that led to publications.
On a personal note, I live with my wife Kristin and our son in a small town near Delhi, NY in the Western Catskills. We moved to the area in 2011 when I finished graduate school and began a position at SUNY Oneonta. We are both from the Twin Cities, but grew to love the surroundings and community here in New York. Outside of work and time with loved ones, I'm an avid trail runner and enjoy adventures of pursuing challenging goals and exploring protected areas in the Catskills and Adirondacks.
